Army Soldier to Chase Championships

US Army's SFC Don O'Neal will contest the 2008 season in a 2008 Mullis Dragster Chassis powered by Nesbitt Engine Performance while still fulfilling his commitment as an Army Reserve Recruiter.

The 2008 season will see O'Neal go after drag racing’s premier series championships in both the IHRA and NHRA series. O'Neal will compete in over 16 national events and 14 divisional races this season while also working hard to assist US Army recruiting efforts across the country.

In a unique move for the US Army, an actual Soldier will be racing and telling the Army story instead of a hired athlete. While making numerous appearances around the country O’Neal will draw from his 16 years of serving for our country. The appearances are primarily visits to high school and college campuses.

O’Neal’s championship chase will be assisted by backing from the US Army, Mullis Race Cars, NOS Energy Drinks, Moser Engineering, Nesbitt Engines, Holley Performance Products, Eastern Race Fuels, Harland Sharp, Mickey Thompson Wheels and Tires, Auto Meter, Brodix, and Greg Slack's Converter Design Specialties.
